Adding a touch of elegance, the 2017 Jaguar F-Type British Design Edition F-Type Coupe and Convertible will arrive in U.S. showrooms this spring. Based on the F-Type V6 S model with its 380-horsepower supercharged 3.0-liter engine, a total of 300 units are set for the North American market, each offering a selection of bespoke cosmetic and functional upgrades as well as the choice of rear- or all-wheel drive. "The F-Type is a sports car that excites the senses, with a visual drama that is both individual and very British," said Ian Callum, Jaguar Director of Design. "Creating the British Design Edition gave us the opportunity to subtly enhance the way the F-Type looks — inside and out."

The 2017 British Design Edition, available in Caldera Red, Glacier White, Ultimate Black and a new F-Type color, Ultra Blue, will have 20-inch Cyclone alloy wheels in a Satin Dark Gray finish. Distinctive British Design Edition badging on the nose and tail features Union Jack detailing in a subtle monochrome motif. The car’s stopping power is enhanced with R-spec Jaguar Super Performance Brakes featuring larger steel rotors and upgraded calipers rendered in bright red.

Inside, these F-Types sport Jet leather upholstery with Red, Ivory or Reims Blue stitching on their 14-way performance seats which also carry the British Design Edition logo embossed on their headrests. Satin-finish carbon fiber replaces the standard aluminum trim along with unique Design Edition door sill plates. A 12-speaker/770-watt Meridian surround sound system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen supports navigation, infotainment and Jaguar InControl apps. Pricing for the 2017 Jaguar F-Type British Design Edition models will start at $93,095.
