Rolling into showrooms now, the upgraded 2017 Infiniti QX60 SUV starts at $44,095 in front-drive form while the QX60 AWD begins at $45,895. Both reflect a $500 bump from 2016. Mechanical enhancement to the leather-trimmed and feature-rich premium 7-passenger QX60 includes a new 3.5-liter direct-injected V6 engine also found in other members of the Infiniti family. Developing 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, respective gains of 30 and 22 in output than the same-size V6 it replaces, the new engine is backed by Infiniti’s sport-tuned continuously variable transmission.
In addition to bringing more performance to the party, the 2017 QX60 also sweetens its roster of available features. The Infiniti InTouch with Navigation and Infiniti InTouch Services that are part of the Premium Plus Package add Vehicle Health Report and Voice Recognition for audio, Bluetooth and vehicle information capabilities. The Deluxe Technology Package gains a Motion Activated Liftgate, High Beam Assist and auto side dimming mirrors, the last item also now part of the QX60’s Drivers Assistance Package. The optional Theater Package boasts dual 8.0-inch monitors in place of the current 7.0-inch units. The package also includes a 12V power point, audio/video-capable USB port and an HDMI port plus new Wi-Fi capability that comes with a 3-month subscription and 2GB of data. No word yet on the 2017 QX60 Hybrid, which will arrive later in the year.
