Filling out the lineup for its new Q60 Coupe family, the 2017 Infiniti Q60 3.0t Sport was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Like its previously presented Q60 siblings, the newest variation on this handsome compact luxury 2-door will be available in both rear-drive and AWD. Set to arrive in showrooms next month, the former will start at $49,205 and the latter will commence at $51,205.
Designated by the silver ‘‘S’’ model badge on its tail, the new Sport-spec Q60 bridges the gap between the 3.0t Premium and the range-topping Q60 Red Sport 400. Like the 3.0t Premium, the Sport has the automaker’s advanced VR30 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 underhood. The cleanest, lightest and most fuel-efficient V6 ever produced by Infiniti, it develops 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque in this application compared to the Red Sport’s more robust 400/350 output.

While not quite as potent as the Red Sport, the new 3.0t Sport model does feature a healthy helping of upscale performance elements from that model starting with a sport-tuned Dynamic Digital Suspension, 19-inch sport aluminum-alloy wheels and upgraded sport brakes with silver-painted calipers. Inside the 3.0t Sport boasts the same power sport seats covered in supple semi-aniline leather – with a dual-memory setting for the driver’s side – a power tilt/telescoping steering column, shifter paddles, aluminum-accented pedals, auto-dimming mirrors, carbon fiber accent bits and ambient lighting.
