A half century ago this fall the first Chevy Camaro rolled into showrooms across the U.S. To recognize that occasion, the automaker has created the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Special Edition. Set to arrive this summer, the 50th Anniversary Special Edition will be available on Camaro Coupe or Convertible models in either 2LT or 2SS trims. All versions of the car will be finished in Nightfall Gray Metallic, with the Convertibles being crowned with a black soft top and 2LT models featuring an RS Appearance Package. Each of these units also will sport a unique grille insert with satin chrome accents, unique 20-inch alloy wheels with custom 50th Anniversary center caps and orange painted brake calipers — although that splash of color will appear only on the front grippers of 2LT versions.

Inside, these celebratory Camaros feature black leather upholstery with suede inserts and orange stitching along with a selection of “50th Anniversary” accents on the instrument panel, seatbacks, steering wheel and illuminated sill plates. Pricing for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Special Edition models will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
