Adding a bold new hue to its exterior color palette and an exclusive Dark Effects trim package to the option roster, the 2017 Buick Cascada Sport Touring in Sport Red made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. An even more vibrant runningmate to the Cascada ST in True Blue Metallic that joined the lineup in late summer, the latest iteration of this fully-loaded range-topping Cascada was created in response to customer feedback and will be arriving in dealers on February 1.
To complement the Sport Red finish, the Cascada ST also will be available with a new Dark Effects package that adds a gloss-black finish on the grille, mirror caps and 20-inch wheels along with a body-color trim across the decklid. Initially limited to just 150 units and paired exclusively with the Sport Red ST, Dark Effects also brings red accent stitching to the trim on the Cascada’s dash, door panels and seats.

While Buick originally launched the Cascada here as a niche vehicle, it has proven to be a pleasant surprise. Through the first 8 months of 2016, its sales exceeded those of the BMW 2 Series, Audi A3 and A5 convertibles combined — and no Cascadas were sold to rental fleets. Buick offered no direct pricing guidance for the new Sport Red Cascada ST, but we suspect it will be close to the $37,990 sticker of its True Blue Metallic sibling.
