2016 Kia Optima: First official photo

Kia released the first official photo of its all-new 2016 Optima sedan along with a few new details about the car prior to its reveal in New York. As expected, the production Optima has dialed back some of the styling excesses seen in earlier teaser sketches but still displays a bold and more contemporary look than the current car – and one clearly influenced by the Kia Sportspace Concept that was introduced in Geneva. The automaker confirmed the new midsize 4-door will have a more spacious interior and be available with "multiple engine choices" – although it’s not certain whether that will include a hybrid variant. Kia also said the 2016 Optima will offer class-up premium features as well as a number of new technologies not previously available on the car.
