2016 Jeep Wrangler Black Bear Edition unveiled

Jeep‘s iconic off-road specialist is adding a new variation in the form of the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Black Bear Edition. Named for Black Bear Pass that’s part of the Jeep Jamboree trail in Telluride, Colorado, this package is offered on the standard 2-door Wrangler as well as the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited. Spun from the Sport S model and offered in nine colors, Black Bear Pass kit starts with a Satin Black grille, Mineral Gray bumper applique and black tail lamp guards, fuel fill door and premium rock rails set off with 17-inch/5-spoke black alloy wheels wrapped in traction-enhancing Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires. Whether crowned with a standard Sunrider soft top or optional body-color hard top, the hood on all Wrangler Black Bear Pass models also sports an oversize topographical Black Bear Pass trail decal flanked by a pair of heritage "Wrangler" decals.

Inside, the Wrangler Black Bear Edition features black cloth-covered Sedoso seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with black accent stitching, Iron Gray bezels, grab handle vent rings and door handles along with sport bar grab handles, and all-weather slush mats. In addition to air conditioning, Black Bear Edition Wranglers also come with the Connectivity Group and Power Convenience Group. Like other Wrangler models, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Black Bear Editions come with a 285-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, 6-speed manual or optional 5-speed automatic transmission that works with a Command-Trac part-time 4×4 system with a 2-speed transfer case. Pricing for the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Black Bear Edition package will be announced closer to its October on-sale date.
