Adding factory-blessed go-fast appeal to the hot 2015 Ford Focus ST, the automaker’s Performance Parts group has announced a new MP275 upgrade kit. This street-legal option lifts the ST’s pony count from 252 to 275 horses and raises torque from its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from 270 to 296 lb-ft. "The 2015 Focus ST MP275 upgrade is the latest addition to Ford Performance’s vast Focus and Fiesta performance catalog that gives enthusiasts the components they need to take their car to the next level," said Adam Gair, product manager, Ford Performance.

Priced at $1,900, the MP275 hardware is based around a new ECU with more aggressive engine mapping that quickens throttle response without impacting durability or emissions. The rest of the 50-state kit includes a revised induction system, high-flow intercooler, an mTune handset and all of the requisite installation hardware. In addition to the extra underhood might, when the MP275 upgrade is installed by an authorized Ford Performance technician, the Focus ST retains all of its existing factory warranty.
