The fully redesigned 2015 Cadillac Escalade won’t get its formal reveal until October 7, but the automaker has followed up on its previous exterior detail shots with this first image of the Escalade’s all-new interior. The recast cabin, which will offer seating for eight, reflects the latest take on the Art and Science design theme. Like the XTS and new CTS models, it features a far more contemporary dash layout that places stronger emphasis on the division’s cut-and-sew detailing and the use of real leather, wood and metal accents which also are found on the seat, console and door-panel trims.

In addition to a new multifunction steering wheel and restyled instrument cluster, this full-size luxury SUV also boasts Cadillac‘s sophisticated CUE infotainment system and offers loads of central storage area in a large covered center bin that appears to be a virtual clone of the one in the equally new 2015 Chevy Suburban/GMC Yukon SUVs. Although Cadillac has yet to confirm any other interior details, it’s safe to assume that the redesigned Escalade also will have the same kind of flat-folding second- and third-row seats with power-activation function found in its less-expensive cousins. We’ll know more on Monday.
