The Hyundai Motor Group makes Genesis luxury cars. In 2015, Hyundai unveiled its plans to market its luxury Genesis vehicles and Equus sedans under a standalone brand. Hyundai launched the luxury midsize Genesis G80 and rebranded the larger Equus as the G90 for the 2017 model year. Since then, Genesis has debuted several new models, including electric vehicles like the GV60 and Electrified GV70.
Genesis recently unveiled a GV80 Coupe Concept it plans to put into production, though the aesthetics of design concepts often don’t make it into the final model, and some get toned down. Another concept vehicle, the electric Genesis X, shows possibly another hint of the carmaker’s future.
