Honda makes Acura cars. Acura is the luxury performance brand owned by Japanese automaker Honda Motor Co. since 1986. Honda’s U.S. plants manufactured more than two-thirds of the Honda and Acura vehicles sold in America in 2022.

Acura puts its caliper logo on four premium gas-powered models in the 2023 lineup for North America. Two models — the TLX sedan and MDX SUV — are available in Acura’s Type S high-performance versions. The company expects to launch the ZDX, its first all-electric vehicle, in 2024.

The Acura MDX won the Kelley Blue Book Lowest 5-Year Cost to Own Award in the Luxury Midsize SUV — 3-Row category in 2023 and 2022. Over the years, our expert reviews consistently give Acura vehicles 4.0 or higher ratings out of 5 stars.
