Positive Review
This is a really great car but future owners need to understand that this a sports car which requires high cost to get it fixed ! I purchased my 05 CTS from an old man who couldn't keep up with the repairs so I took it off his hands for a very nice price below market with 70k on it. I replaced the brakes, rotors, tires, wiper motors, changed the coils, trunk lifters, and it was ready to roll and I love it. It now has 124k and I have made a couple of repairs the body module cost 1k to fix other than that the car is awesome to drive and looks very nice. It really is a great mix of luxury and sporty and handles really nice also love the cabin and the seats real nice. So to summarize great car but you must take care of it ....
Critical Review
Stay away from this generation, I purchased it 14months ago, took it through the car wash the rear overlay panel broke apart, defect rear truck shocks are a defect do not stay up,very heavy trunk, can cause accidents, Engine has no horsepower at all, sludge also forms in the engine, as well as it gets about 4miles to the gallon,in the last two months I had to replace total frount end struts shocks, rack and pinion steering lines, then two days later, an electronic throttle control, and transmission does not shift good at all.Total costs 4200.00,Also both frount power window motors and sunroof motor, car looks up to date for year, but choose next generation from 2008, and always keep a warranty paid up, not many people could afford those repairs these days. For a cost of 30,000.00 back in 2003 the parts should last longer than an average car does at least 150 thousand, as noted in the owners manuel, Dont get burned like I did, good luck.

My Cadillac 2005 CTS is still running like new @ 170,000 miles. It takes corners & the winding roads like a breeze! Full of pep & looks brand new! I'm married to my car! Lol ( never letting it go) I see lots of this year Caddy (2005) these days on the road! It's been a good year for this car!
Easy to fix
Breaks a lot
Expect a lot of pointless lights on the dash coming on, don’t be scared. Jus keep driving it’ll be fine had mine for 2 years now
luxury based and HP confident
Non-serviceable tranny?
Lots of bells and whistles to play with and plenty of power. The only downside is that I cannot check the transmission fluid.I'm not an expert car manufacturer or even a mechanic but I am giving this car 5 stars in all criteria. It is the first cadi I owned and it has held the road well. Back to the transmision thought; a service tech told me to drive it until it dies so Cadillac has great faith it their transmission longevity.I just fix em when they bfreak and I don't mind putting time or money in them to drive a compitenet auto.
Had since 2003. Reliable.
Noisey
Never a problem unless I let someone else use it. Unfortunately repairs are costly. A true caddy.

2007 CTS-V is a very nice car with a ls2 corvette engine paired with a t56 m12 manual transmission. most the bad reviews for this vehicle are from base model CTS not CTS-V and im a little disappointed with kbb on this as the score for exact model would be higher. i love 4th gen camaros, gtos and the CTS-V is mack daddy of them all....
