Positive Review
This is my second wagon. My first was a 91 and lacked power. The 96 comes from Buick with the de-tuned Corvette LT1 motor. Even at 185 horsepower it gets down the road with decent mileage. The only drawback to driving the wagon is it's size. You need to be extra diligent while backing. I get constant comments everywhere I go. Driving on the freeway is like setting on my sofa in my living room. I love the ride and interior room.
Critical Review
Well maintained with repair receipts. Repairs include new radiator, water pump, all new shocks and new tires. Transmission needs to be rebuilt, but still drivable. Improvements include new seat upholstery, new carpet in passenger areas, and new headliner. Looking for a buyer to restore this soon to be classic.

Power, Cargo Space, Luxury Interior
Be careful if the water pump starts to leak -- the distrubutor is under the water pump and can be ruined if not repaired quickly
I've owned two of the Roadmaster Wagons. The '94-96 have a great Corvette LT1 Engine -- fast acceleration with a supersmooth transmission. These were equipped with the GranTouring Suspension which is soft on the highway but corners quite well. It's built on a Cadillac Fleetwood frame. Great cargo space -- takes a 4X8 sheet of plywood -- better than most pickup trucks. Excellent reliability, and very reasonable repair on repair costs. Look for one that has been babied and it should easily last 250K miles. Everyone smiles when they see this car. Pay a little extra for one with lower mileage -- it's worth it. The Kelly Blue Book value totally incorrect for the wagons, but okay for the sedans. You can't find a decent wagon in 2024 for under $10K. Expect to pay $15-18K for one with under 75,000 miles with no rust and good wood decals. It's worth it. This car is going up in value every year -- they are collectors items. Stay away from the 1991's -- they have the small 301CI engine that is underpowered.
Everything else is good
Paint& interior
I have owned this car for 20 years now it's my daily driver second owner original motor and transmission love this car to reliable to get rid of it .they don't make them like this anymore.
cheap and can take the kocks
optispark
i have 4, a 92, 95, 95 & 96 so i think you can guess my review rating, there are several caveats, the optispark (distributor) is a watch point and the driver door trim panel is a weak point, old plastic structure does not fare well after 25/30 years of door being slammed and poor repairs when the inevitable issues raise their heads, like dry wall screws used when the panels come loose or crack.. there are many parts cars available so used glass, doors, hoods and fenders are available.. i also own 3 cadillacs (59 7 60 convertibles and 70 eldorado) but the buicks are first choice for market runs and even longer trips.. good fuel mileage too..
Lots of room and really comfortable
The gas gage flits and the low coolant light thing
Still got sticker from the window the day it was sold one car owner and the inside no rips or cracks
Die Hard Reliable
Cheap Plastics
275,000 miles with nothing more than maintenance and normal wear and tear items replaced.. 18mpg city, 25+ mpg highway. Heat is hot, A/C is cold.. All the electrics and gadgets still operate as they should. The seat is better than my recliner at home. Not overly powerful with the L05 engine (180hp) but doesn't really struggle to tow 3500lbs with 300 ft/lbs of torque... Poor weather handling is respectable with good tires. Interior and trim plastics are a bit on the cheap side and don't age well, but nothing intolerable. The low cost of maintenance and repairs makes up for the fuel economy by leaps and bounds...
Awesome looking car, everything works in the car a
Gas Drinker..
The car is an excellent condition inside and out only 1 owner. Next door neighbor bought it for 2200 and he just took the seat covers off of it so inside and out is immaculate no wear and tear on any of it or anything in the vehicle. Is it worth that price? Sincerely Nana
roomy interior great styling strong motor

Everything!
There will never be anything close to them .
I have owned and driven a 1994 limited from late 1993 until this day. This one is #5. Except for a 1973 New Yorker Brougham, I had built extra heavy, with a Hemi 400 series engine, that lasted 500K miles over 17 years, usually pulling some sort of trailer, These Roadmasters are THE BEST! For performance, safety and comfort these cars are as close to perfect as you can get. I depend on them heavily for just about all functions involving anything less than required of a HEAVY truck. 19 to 24 mpg without fail with the air on of off.Pulling heavy loads does cost a bit more but at least you can do it. I paid for a lot of Tow Trucks trying to drive Caddilacs, and Lincons. These cars "Have Never Let Me Down".
