What Owners are Saying About the 2003 Buick Park Avenue
"Great car for college students, beginning drivers"
"I purchased this car my senior year of high school, I purchased it with 140000 some miles for 2200 because the person selling it was nice and came down 800 for me. He used it as a winter vehicle only because he drove a convertible in the summer. In the first summer i owned the car, i took me and many friends on 6 road trips, racking up 2,000 miles road trips alone, and maybe 700 daily driving. That is a heavy toll on a car for just a month and a half. It took it like a champ, i could leave it sitting and run it maybe twice a month during school, and slam the car into constant use in the summer and the thing just wouldn't die. The only thing i ever replaced were window motors and the tires. The breaks and rear shocks needed replaced eventually too, but as for the 3800 series 2 l36(non supercharged) i consider it peerless. In no car can you feel like your driving a v8 northstar, get the gas milage of 30 highway 20 city, and have a reliable ride like this car. Believe me at first as a young kid i was not thrilled by this car, it isn't too fast and my manager at work started calling me 18 going on 80. but this thing is still running. I have no need to purchase a new car because now that i am an adult, this car still looks mature and clean. looking at it you would not know the miles. If you are looking to get your kid a good car for college, this is it. if you are a high schooler like i was purchasing your own car, buy this. it isn't exciting or that fast, but with 5 other friends stuffed in the car and a drive to the lakes or cedar point, this car will quickly become a good memory."
"Owned five Park Avenues"
"Last two were the Ultra Model, which have been powerful, reliable and comfortable. Fuel lines and brake lines are notorious for rusting out and failing on all models driven in the northeast. Always replace them with Stainless Steel lines. Units with sliding moon/sun roof also require attention to the drainage channel duct holes in the corners to prevent rain/moisture from getting inside the passenger cabin. Cooling system plastic elbows should be replaced with aluminum ones. Only use Brembo discs, especially on the front brakes. Don't bother with the grooved/drilled discs. Too much heat generated by disc brake pads when stopping this land yacht, which result in rotor warp. Always watch for oil in the coolant reservoir, which is indicative of warped heads. Other than those things, basic attention to routine maintenance will result in a very reliable and comfortable ride for many years to come. I love them and will continue to buy them when available for the right price, in the right condition."
"love my car"
"when my husband died i inherited it and would not sell it for a new one. My husband looked far and wide to find a 2005 as it was the last in its line."
