"LOVING mine!"

Mine's an ST and DOES have a heated steering wheel, so one must not HAVE to get the Avenir. 30-33MPG 75-80MPH. Not enough power? It's not a heavy vehicle, folks. It's fine, unless you're planning to drag race. I have a heavy foot, and it's done well enough for me. Very nice bang for the buck. Upscale, great tech, nice and Buick quiet. Would absolutely buy again!

Critical Review

"You get what you pay for"

I have lived with an Envista in the Preferred trim for 15,000 miles now and it becomes more underwhelming the longer I do. I downgraded from an SUV and was drawn in by better MPG and the low price point knowing I was going to be moving to a more urban area with more commuting. There are things about the Envista that during a test drive don't stand out as much as over time with the car. Granted, the Envista is never described as having anything more than just an okay engine and acceleration and you're not buying this to win a drag race. The acceleration really is quite laughable though. There is absolutely no zip and you will need to floor this if you're getting on to a freeway where you need to get up to 70 or more in a short distance. This is paired with a transmission that seems to gear hunt and you'll feel it lurch in both breaking and accelerating situations. A lot of the praise for Envistas comes for the features it includes at a low price point. My personal experience with the wireless charging pad for one of those features is that it's unreliable and will absolutely heat up your phone to a dangerously warm temperature after any extended amount of time. The screen is large, but CarPlay always lags in connecting and I usually have to reselect it since it doesn't automatically connect my phone every time. I've also had CarPlay just cut out too many times to count. It's got a heated steering wheel and heated seats standard, two things you can live without and not notice. The heavily sloped rear glass means this car really doesn't have a lot of cargo space. On multiple trips with just belongings for myself, fiancée, and our small dog, it's a struggle to fit more than a few bags and anything else needs to go on the floor of the backseat. That rear glass also provides a very narrow view out the back and with no rear windshield wiper and almost horizontal angle, you can guess how that looks in wet weather. MPGs are okay in my opinion. It's a light, compact car and I get as much as 40mpg on the highway on longer drives and usually mid- to upper-20s in the city. Now, the cars I'm going to compare it to are more expensive. But considering larger small SUVs like the RAV4 are getting the same or better, it's hard for me to consider the MPG of the Envista to be a selling point now. Lastly, if you do buy this car and are unfortunate enough to need a repair, you're going to be out of luck. I waited over four months for a new windshield after a rock hit it on the freeway since Buick would not put in an order for a new one until there were enough other orders in my area to justify putting one in. In that time, the crack spread across the drivers side of the car. I'm still waiting for replacement rear turn signal from getting backed into in November 2023 and the same story - no update and nothing they can do apparently. This is a common issue among new owners. There's no denying the price point for this car, it's cheaper than a lot of used cars these days. There are so many better options though and it's not retaining any value. I'd implore folks to look around and be really sure that this is specifically what they want to avoid the buyers remorse myself and others have.

Check engine light at 800 miles
Pros

Style and price

Cons

Quality

I typically don’t write a car review but I felt obligated on this one. I have own many brand new cars over 20 plus years. This is the first brand new car I can recall to have a check engine light at 800 miles. It’s really sad because I thought I bought this car at a steal. I own a 2025 Envista Preferred and it was great, good gas mileage, and with only 1.2 liter engine I was very surprised how capable it is. I check engine light coded emission/evap system. I brought it at the dealer and was told after two days at the shop that the fuel neck filler need to be replaced because it’s leaking. They have to order it and it might take a while to get the parts. Pick up the vehicle today. Such a hassle for a brand new car to have issues like this. Other than that my wife and I really like this car compare to our old 2023 Sentra.

Decent for price, but some annoying issues

I had a '24 Sport Touring from new for 18 months and then traded it in. Overall it was a decent car and mechanically ran fine. However there were a number of small niggles which just annoyed me over time. I also would not recommend keeping past the factory warranty due to the number of common issues reported on the owners groups and cheap build quality. Pros - 1. Unique looks/ modern look 2. Lots of features for the price. Unfortunately $25-30k price bracket generally doesn't get you much car in 2025. 3. Gas mileage wasn't bad. I averaged 28.3 mpg over my 14,800 miles. Most of which was city miles, taking kids to school and going to the grocery store. 4. Service was cheap. $85 at my local dealer for minor service (oil and tire rotation). Cheaper than most small independent shops quoted. Cons - 1. Remote start: unable to select temperature or turn on heated seats. It just defaults to whatever setting you left it when you turned the car off. If it was a hot afternoon and you did not have the AC on, it will not turn on for the following cold morning. The heated seats would only turn on with remote start if the outside temperature was below 38f. 2. Build quality - cheap to match the low price point. Steel is wafer thin. Presses in when lightly rubbing a sponge over it. Other parts cheap and appear not long lasting. 3. AC - doesn't always work great, and common issue on the owners groups. Even if it was set to warm, I would find after 30 mins of so driving, cold air would come out. Also recirculating did not work - still got fumes into the cabin. I bought an aftermarket cabin filter from Amazon for $10 which did help. The stock one was useless and very thin. 4. Lane centering - doesn't have true lane centering. Like Toyota, Honda, Kia, Ford etc have as standard. Which steers around corners. This just ping pongs you from one side of the lane to the other. 5. Sunroof - minor leak. Would feel drops when in car wash. 6. Small engine - it is ok for running around town, but has some extended lag from the turbo. Sometimes dangerously so. Trying to pull out quick from an intersection. Put foot down and a 1-2 sec delay at times before the car moves. Can get to highway speeds and cruise comfortably at 80+. However when I got in my replacement car which was a V6, felt a completely different driving experience. 7. Space - it is a small car/ crossover not a SUV. With a larger-build adult in passenger seat we were often bumping elbows. Back seat was ok for my 7 and 10 year old. Not much trunk space. Would not recommend for a family, with young kids, stroller etc. Something like a Honda CRV would be a better option. 8. This is an entry level luxury car. Certainly not on the level of Lexus, BMW, Volvo etc. More like a upper level trim Toyota. My local Buick dealers were embedded with Chevy. Found whole experience very low budget (Spirit Airlines like). Did not even have water available in the service waiting room. Was expecting more of a higher level of service from the Buick brand. But in reality it was just Chevy. 9. Auto start/ stop. I hate this option on cars. No way to permanently turn off. Have to deactivate each time you start the car. There is a $15 harness you can get on Amazon which will bypass this. But remove before taking to dealer as can void warranty. 10. Zero towing rating. Not an issue to most and understandable with a 1.2l engine. However just restrictive if I wanted to ever tow something small like a motorcycle or trailer with yard waste.

I purchased this car brand new a little over a month ago. So far the dash monitor has gone completely blank while I was driving. I had to pull over and turn the car off and on for it work work. And today.....the air-conditioning completely went out. I'm waiting to see what this is about.

Envista a vehicle that’s uncompared in value

I was a New car dealer for many years. I was not a GM dealer. The Buick Envista that I just purchased is an insane value. Comfort, class , style, and so much more. This vehicle with proper inventory belongs in every home. I am shocked at the low price and this phenomenal vehicle…. Joe M

Cons

I haven't found any yet!

The All-New Buick Envista is an eye-catcher, especially if you like a sleek look. This new model has it in abundance. Awesome profile, sleek design, captured in the sloped back with the all glass hatchback door! As beautiful going as it is coming forward! However you will agree, " An all around American beauty, not only for the young, but young/adventures @ heart.
