2023 BMW X4 Consumer Reviews

I have owned BMWs for over 20 years, owned 325, 328, 228AWD and driven a 525 for a few weeks when my 325 was being repaired, of all these, this X4 is the best! I plan on upgrading in a few months to the M version, I am retired and figure this be my last car before going to the big Autobahn in the sky, might as well leave this world in a zoom-zoom car considering my first was also zoom-zoom car I created from a 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber edition with 5.0L engine.

This is a fantastic performance SUV! It is powerful, precise, and has aggressive styling. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is a fan of regular long trips as sports seats can be a bit uncomfortable but it's perfectly fine as a daily driver.

I had an X3, which was great, and now have the X4 M40i and once you get used to the shape, rear blind spot and difference in cargo so space, you see the X4 offers a quick, sporty alternative to the more traditional family vehicle which is the X3. Both drive more like sedans than typical SUVs except you ride higher and have more forward visibility. The M40i is recommended, it’s plain fast. Mine has everything except live cockpit which is fine with me. Leather, premium package, driving assistance, etc. A very fun all around car. If you plan on having taller adult rear passengers and/or routinely have lots of cargo, consider the X3 or X5. If you are somewhere between more space than a sedan and won’t mind a sloping rear, try the X4. Haters will comment it’s ugly but I say unique. There are plenty of cars in the BMW lineup and something for everyone. Speed, handling, SUV type height and more room than the average sedan, you have found your solution.

Great car in its class. I came from 2017 Macan GTS, and that was a fun car. But for the pricing, the power, tech, and comfort, the X4M40i is simply unbeatable. As others have stated, all around great car/CUV for the price-range. Absolutely love it as a daily driver.

The BMW X4 is a true diamond. It is very practical with its huge carrying capacity, fantastic pickup and maneuverability, 33 MPG, near silent cabin, top-end options and superb comfort. Worth more than the X3 in every way. Has great mechanical reliability. Free 3 year maintenance is unmatched by competing vehicles. BMW service has been perfect. Nothing has failed. Far superior to competing Mercedes, Audi, Lexus and Infiniti models. It is a 10/10.

I bought my BMW X4 xDrive30i in February, easily the best car ive owned. The handling is incredible, it makes you feel that pre-excitement when youre about to get behind the steering wheel. Definitely makes every trip a fun experience. It has a slightly stiffer ride when compared to the more family-friendly X3, wich has a more soft ride. The interior quality is stunning, you can feel the expensive materials all over the cabin, soft surfaces, leather, metal. I havent has any issues with cargo space, since i rarely have someone with me, besides my GF. Another fun part is the reactions you get on the street, you notice the heads turning almost everywhere you go, it takes some time to get used to it. Overall a great vehicle, definitely would recommend to at least do a test drivr and experience it for yourself!

Strong handling and tightness on the road. Quick off a standing stop. Excellent safety features, M quality braking, surround cameras, and speedometer on lower windshield. Comfortable ride inside, with intuitive features such as automatic heating of steering wheel when cold, etc. This is my third BMW and best all around, most fun vehicle I have owned.

I got the X4 M40i for about a week. It is amazing to drive. The comfort mode is nice - a well balance between eco and sport. But the sport/sport+ is another level of fun and excitement. I love the voice control, driver assist, and even parking assist. The value you can get from this car is far better vs. Macan, after taking into account of the features/options and price. BMW hits a home run in this performance suv.
