Positive Review
Wonderful driving experience. Acceleration is smooth and handling is effortless. The options ( panoramic moonroof, navigation, keyless entry, park assist, power liftgate etc) add to the experience and I found them worth every bit of the extra money spent ( many of them could be made standard) Great balance of power and efficiency. Have driven my X3 (28i) for about 2000 miles and am averaging 26.8 mpg with about 60% hwy miles. Space is adequate for a small family and the rear row seats my kid (6 yr old) comfortably. However, space ( 2nd row seating) could be a constraint for larger families. Also, I found the vehicle a little noisier than others and was disappointed that such a well made vehicle could not have been better insulated.
Critical Review
I recently purchased the 2011 BMW X3 (end of January)and have had nothing but issues with. The engine oil sensor malfunction light has gone on numerous times, trouble with the remote key and yesterday got stuck and it just died and leaked gas out all over the road. In addition, BMW roadside assistance was useless - took them 5 hours to get a tow truck to get the car

Looks nice, lots of updated features
Bad engine! 4 cylinder
We bought one of these 3 years ago… We ended up spending $5,000 on a repair within a few months! There was a class action lawsuit for the issue, but we missed the deadline.. So, we are paying 2 loans already on it. Guess what? It died again on Tues. Shop says we need a new engine… $10,000!!! Don’t buy this car!
Insane handling, Cargo&Passenger space

This is my first bmw. I had long term goals 6 years ago to buy the 2017 x3 xdrive28i. It’s not the M-Sport package, however it is fully loaded with every option. I got it for 33k with 29,649 mi on odometer, mint condition, which I’ve learned through extensive research is very rare to find at this age. I drove an 07 Honda Element before my x3, so this felt like a real step up for me. I like sport luxury, plus the 2019+ models were too big for me, as I’m only 4”9. Perfect size, insane handling, definitely not top heavy like the Audi q5 or Mercedes glc300. I don’t care about mpg, this car does well enough on it. 2017 the x3 rated #1 in the compact luxury suv/sav segment. Personally I’ve heard nothing but negatives on the 2011-2014. Worst years to purchase it, just to save some future headaches for future prospective buyers. Avoid those years. Specifically 11 to 13. 2016 and 2017 were some top years to buy this used. I have no complaints, basic maintenance is on the pricey side, but if you can afford it and you love your car enough, you’ll fix it.
Suv with all wheel drive and decently quick
Very great car for daily use, good on gas. Reliable. Just take care of your gaskets and fuel pumps. Best car i ever owned
Replaced 4 pads for all breakers, the car is in the Good Condition, Never had any accidents to the car, Color is white. In 2022, just replaced 4 new spare plugs & 2 out of 4 JNS coil, and engine oil bracket.

Our only issue with this car is the "run flat" tires that came standard. Bad idea, unless you are just a town commuter. If you have a "run flat" tire puncture "on the road"(outside of a major metropolitan area), it cannot be plugged temporarily and most likely a local tire place nearby won't have the tire. so you'll be stuck with having to buy a "regular" tire of similar size to go along with your "run flats"(not recommended, but what are you going to do?) until you either get home or find a place that has the correct size "run flat"...then you donate the tire you just bought. A real PIA. On top of that, the "run flats" cost twice as much and last half as long and have poorer performance. Because of that, we changed all of our "run flats" to good ole standard tires. Sadly that left us with having to put our spare in the rear storage area.
This car is awesome performance is superb...gas mileage...interior beige is nice...bmw did very good with x3....i recommend this vehicle to anyone....speed... cameras all good ..2016 x3 developes. Technology that is being use 2020 to 2022 other brands models...
Powerful Engine, Fast, Comfortable, and Sporty.
Halogen Here, Halogen There, Halogen Everything.
I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2016 BMW X3 xDrive28i and it is a very good buy. I bought it for just under $50,000 (49,500 something) and it's been amazing so far. My X3 is Alpine White with Saddle Brown Nevada Leather, 18 Inch 307 Rims, and with a few packages. Cold Weather, Premium, and Technology Package. It's very good although I do have a few complaints. There is Halogen everywhere, every single light is Halogen excluding Fog Lights and Mirror Signals. I would also like a few things standard. Such as Power Folding Mirrors on lock, LED Daytime Running Lights, and Blind Spot Monitoring. And the tech is a little outdated for 2016, with no touch screen infotainment system and fully digital gauge cluster. However, there are a few things to make up for that. Such as a good Head-Up Display, Front and Rear Parking Sensors with a Backup Camera, Panoramic Moonroof, and a powerful 240 Horsepower Engine.
