Positive Review
Let's start with the cons: the navigation system is the biggest disappointment. The map is long outdated, even the BMW dealership where I purchased the car from has the wrong address. The map doesn't show the names of all the roads, only the major streets are shown, even if zoomed in. The system is very slow. However, BMW is releasing a new system this November 2012; unfortunately, I purchased my car before the announcement. The other con is the automatic stop-start system to save gas. Good feature on paper, but in practice, the car wakes up violently. It doesn't feel up to par with BMW quality. Finally, the controls are fairly complicated: the fog lights doesn't turn on automatically, neither does the wipers. The settings doesn't stay at the last user setting, instead everything defaults: like the driving dynamics defaulting to Comfort, the Auto-Stop-Start defaulting to on, etc. This becomes very annoying as you need to press a bunch of buttons before driving out. Now the pros: Driving in sport mode is incredibly fun, enough said. The car has incredible acceleration. The interior design is absolutely beautiful, not too many buttons as everything is integrated. Quality is nice. Everything else is expected from the BMW line.
Critical Review
What every you do no not buy a convertible BMW. The engineers for BMW stated it is normal for them to leak water and they don't disclose this information before you purchase the vehicle. Very poorly made vehicle.

drivability, comfort, milage, performance, styling
low gound clearance - but only for truly deep snow
I've been driving this car for well over 5 years now and couldn't be happier. Comfortable, plenty fast, handles great, and it gets amazing mileage. I ditched the stupid low profile tires early-on and now it rides great too. Bought it with 21,000 as a certified pre-owned and now have 114,000. The couple of problems I've had were covered by BMW cost free. It's functional, because its a wagon, and handles amazingly well in heavy rain and snow. I do a lot of skiing and have actually had to use it in true 4WD a bunch of times to get into places I probably shouldn't have been going and it will go though most snow as long as it not too deep due to ground clearance. This is the 12th car I've owned it it's by far the best. Just wish they were still importing the wagons because I'd buy a newer one.
Timeless style and great performance and comfort!
Maintenance costs are above average.
I’ve owned the car for a month and it is amazing!! 2016 328i xDrive sedan with 93,000 miles and it drives and handles better than all of the new cars that I own! Super comfortable and quick for a 240 hp car.
I've owned my 2014 BMW 320i for over 5 years. Mine came with the sport package with the manual 6 speed, moonroof, heated seats, grey. First thing I did was add a flash tune which puts it in the 300 horsepower range. It gets 30 mpg average in mostly city driving and 40 mpg in highway driving. In five years I've had to replace brakes which I did myself for 100 bucks and a battery just recently. I never get bored with it and with the 6 speed manual, unfortunately will be the last one I ever own more than likely.
First BMW, original owner, purchased extended warranty. After 51K miles, comfort access not working and only have car serviced in BMW. All diagnostic testing is very expensive and added charges. After extended warranty expires, have $$$ to start paying excessive repairs.
There is nothing I don't like about this car. It's beautiful, fast, stylish and always turns heads. I don't think I'll ever get another car.
My BMW 3 series came with the factory Msport package which includes premium wheels seats and steering wheel. The Flared fenders set the car apart from other BMWs. This car drives and runs amazingly. It’s an experience every day. Thanks, RLP
Great sound system, spacious trunk, safety feature
no spare tire, expensive maintenance
This car is amazing, and so reliable. Drives so smoothly. The back is somewhat small and doesn't have the most leg room, but the seats up front have lots of leg room and space.
Great on gas mileage, 50/50 weight distribution
Its fun to waste gas :)
This was my first car, and it is quite possibly the best first car someone could have asked for. It is not a 335i, but it does have amazing power low in the rev ranges, and enough power to put a smile on your face while driving a twisty road. ive had it for about 50k miles, and it has been an absolute trooper.
