2. 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Like the Accord, the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid brings serious efficiency to an already excellent sedan platform. Even more efficient than the Honda, the Camry Hybrid is good for up to 52 mpg combined in base LE trim or 46 mpg combined in all other trims, including the nicely equipped mid-range XLE at the sweet spot of our budget. The 2022 BMW 3 Series might be a surprise to see within our budget, but we found plenty of examples for sale that fall below the $30,000 mark. Most of the 3 Series you’ll find at this price will be the 255-hp 330i, with or without xDrive AWD, or the 330e plug-in hybrid, which offers up to 22 miles of electric-only range. 7. 2021 Acura TLX
Another affordable, fun-to-drive luxury sedan on our sub-$30,000 list confirms that used vehicle prices have begun to turn around from their yearslong rise. That’s great because the 2021 Acura TLX is a well-rounded premium sedan that deserves as wide an audience as possible. 8. 2020 Tesla Model 3
It might seem crazy, but it’s true: You can buy a nearly new 2020 Tesla Model 3 for less than $30,000 these days. For that money, you’ll get the rear-wheel-drive Standard Range model, rated for 250 miles of range and zero-to-60-mph acceleration in 5.3 seconds. Persistent or lucky shoppers may also find the Long Range version, with up to 322 miles of range within reach of our budget, but likely only with higher-mileage examples.
