The 2025 Bentley Flying Spur is a large, ultra-luxurious sedan with more than a sliver of driver appeal. Pricing starts at $266,250.
For the person who has everything, the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur is the car with everything. Not literally, but this remarkable conveyance provides a sumptuous, no-expense-spared environment for its occupants and — when called upon — an engaging experience for the driver. If money is no object, a new Flying Spur could be your next object of desire.
This generation of Flying Spur flew in for the 2020 model year, and Bentley has revamped it for 2025. It remains one of the most wonderful ways of getting around.
The Flying Spur Speed ditches its 626-horsepower 12-cylinder engine in favor of a 771-hp plug-in hybrid drivetrain, which also goes into the Mulliner version. This large luxury sedan also receives a few minor styling tweaks, and phone integration becomes wireless.
The 2025 Bentley Flying Spur has a starting sticker price of $266,250, with the range-topping Flying Spur Mulliner kicking off at $298,250.

Keep in mind that the many opportunities for customization and options offered by Bentley can push the final price much, much higher.
This corner of the car world includes some fabulous alternatives. The Rolls-Royce Ghost starts about $100,000 higher. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, specifically the AMG S 63 E Performance plug-in hybrid, comes in under $200,000. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is pricier than the AMG S-Class while undercutting the Flying Spur. If anyone wanted to go fully electric, the Lucid Air Sapphire has breathtaking power and acceleration, and begins in the $250K region.
The new plug-in hybrid drivetrain in the 2025 Flying Spur Speed develops a massive 771 hp, enabling this 2.9-ton, ultra-luxurious large sedan to flash from a standstill to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds. That’s not just awesome, it’s awe-inspiring.
If anyone is wondering what the difference is between Bentley and Rolls-Royce (after all, they’re both expensive high-luxe cars made in England by top-notch artisans using the classiest materials), it’s this area. Whereas Rolls-Royce prioritizes majestic comfort above all else, there’s a bit of a driver’s edge to a Bentley — yet it’s still perfectly comfortable.
To compare performance, the Ghost retains its 563-hp 12-cylinder engine and hits 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. The Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance is more of a match with 791 hp, stopping the clock at the same time as the Flying Spur. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid shares its drivetrain with the Bentley while lopping a half-second from the 60-mph sprint (at 2.7 tons, it’s a little lighter).
Standard hardware includes an adaptive suspension with active anti-roll bars front and rear, an electronic limited-slip differential, torque vectoring, all-wheel drive (AWD), and all-wheel steering. This latter feature really helps mitigate the car’s size and heft. It’s virtually the same arrangement as the Continental GT coupe, which we’ve driven and came away incredibly impressed. The Flying Spur should feel nimbler than its substantial curb weight would imply.
The Flying Spur Mulliner has the same new plug-in hybrid drivetrain. We’ll add more information on the Black Edition when it becomes available.
Official figures weren’t available while compiling this review. We’ll update things when we can. In the meantime, we estimate that the Flying Spur Speed can travel about 40 miles using just the battery and electric motor. Replenishing the battery using a DC fast charger takes around 2.75 hours.
There are so many details, and it seems like each one has been obsessed over. Every texture, stitch, and touchpoint reminds the lucky owner that automotive quality doesn’t get much better than this, if at all. This year brings a new digital driver information display, yet it doesn’t look gauche. Instead, it manages to fit in with the whole upscale cabin ambiance.
Rear legroom is plentiful at 42.3 inches, and standard reclining rear seats add to the luxury. Trunk space of 12.2 cubic feet doesn’t compare that well to the competition..
While acknowledging that the whole car looks arguably fantastic, one particular detail keeps catching our collective eye. It’s the relatively slim part of the front fender between the top of the wheel arch and the hood. We’ve noticed BMW does the same thing with its cars, emphasizing their sportiness. Admittedly, the Flying Spur’s standard alloy wheel size is quite big at 22 inches in diameter. Yet the effect is the same. For a little extra menace, the grille of the Flying Spur Speed has a dark tint.
There’s a head-spinning number of paint colors available: 101, to be precise. Or Bentley will stir up a bespoke hue if requested.
Infotainment system
Although Bentley represents traditional high-end British automotive values, there’s contemporary tech in here as well. The infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, gesture control, and the ability to download third-party apps. It also responds to voice commands — start off with “Hey, Bentley.”
Rotating display
This option is cool. One side is a 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment screen. Press a button, and the whole unit rotates to show a row of three analog dials. Press it again to select a panel of the same veneer as the rest of the dashboard, be it wood or carbon fiber.
Plug-in hybrid
Last year’s Flying Spur offered a plug-in hybrid drivetrain, but that produced “only” 536 hp, with an electric range of 21 miles. This year’s 771-hp setup comes from the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
Intelligent Park Assist
At just over 17 feet long, the Flying Spur might sometimes be a challenge to park. This feature, however, will do the parking for you. A remote function on the Bentley app will put the car into a space and then bring it out for easier entry.
Bang & Olufsen audio
This setup is only the first option in sound systems, a 16-speaker/1,500-watt setup that should be just fine. We’ve heard plenty of Bang & Olufsen stuff and would gladly have it in our cars.
Naim audio
Then again, one of the finest British cars deserves one of the finest British sound systems. Like the Flying Spur Speed’s seemingly effortless propulsion, this setup from Naim thrusts 2,200 watts through 18 speakers. Plus a pair of “kinesthetic shakers” are set into the front seats — so the music isn’t just heard, it’s also felt.
On the gasoline side of the Flying Spur’s plug-in hybrid drivetrain is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8. Augmented by an electric motor, total output is 771 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. This serious muscle goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both the Speed and Mulliner have this setup.
Bentley’s new-car and powertrain warranties last three years, no matter how many miles the car has covered. The first scheduled service is free within one year or 10,000 miles.
Standard safety features in the 2025 Flying Spur include automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system. A head-up display and night vision are also available.

Yes, we’d say the Flying Spur is reliable. Of course, there aren’t as many Bentley motorcars as Honda automobiles running around, so information is somewhat limited. However, each Flying Spur is virtually handmade to an incredibly high standard. We wouldn’t worry about reliability, but we’d reserve a substantial fund for maintenance costs.
The 2025 Flying Spur isn’t completely electric. It does, however, receive a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain this year that should allow the car to travel for about 40 miles using just battery power.
The length of the 2025 Flying Spur is 209.3 inches, or 17.4 feet — about the same as a typical minivan or midsize 3-row SUV. If you’re seriously considering buying a new Flying Spur, your garage is probably big enough.
A 2025 Bentley Flying Spur has a starting sticker price between $266,250 and can run all the way up to $298,250} according to Kelley Blue Book.
