The revamped 2025 Bentley Continental GTC luxury convertible embraces plug-in hybrid technology for more power and greater efficiency. Pricing starts at $323,550.
The transaction is deceptively simple: you pay a lot of money, and you get a lot of cars. The 2025 Bentley Continental GTC is a heck of a lot of car — a luxury convertible with prodigious power and gorgeous accommodations.
Bentley marks this 2025 model as the start of a fourth generation, although much of the third generation is carried over, with notable exceptions like the erstwhile 12-cylinder engine and the double headlights. Even so, this is still an extraordinary car — virtually handmade and offering so much in the way of personalization that no two examples could be identical (unless you ordered them like that).
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of luxury convertibles, including the Bentley Continental GTC.
A 771-horsepower plug-in hybrid drivetrain replaces the previous 650-horsepower 12-cylinder engine in the Continental GTC Speed, it also motivates the Mulliner version. If this sounds vaguely familiar to Porsche fans, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has the same method of propulsion. Bentley’s fresh styling approach ditches the traditional double headlights for single units.
The 2025 Bentley Continental GTC has a starting sticker price of $323,550, with the range-topping Continental GTC Mulliner kicking off at $363,550.

Although still costing a considerable sum for a car, the Continental GTC Speed hits a relative sweet spot because the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider starts above $500,000. At the same time, the Maserati GranCabrio comes in about $100,000 below this Bentley. Be aware that the Continental GTC Speed’s final price can increase quickly when choosing various options.
With 771 horses galloping away, the Continental GTC Speed will sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in a breathtaking 3.2 seconds, only a tenth slower than its coupe counterpart. It’s extremely close to the kind of fierce acceleration the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider can achieve with its mighty 819 hp. Top speed is 177 mph.
Curb weight comes in at just under three tons, making that acceleration time seem all the more impressive. As well as standard all-wheel drive (AWD), the Continental GTC Speed has rear-wheel steering, enhancing its maneuverability, plus an electronic limited-slip differential and torque vectoring. An adaptive suspension with active anti-roll bars is also standard, providing a range of settings from smooth to sharp(ish). We’ve driven the fixed-roof Continental GT Speed, which feels like a jet-propelled train that’s somehow still fantastically controllable. It’s a peak experience.
The Continental GTC Mulliner has the same drivetrain. We’ll update this review with information on the Black Edition when it becomes available.
Until official figures come in, we estimate the new Continental GTC should be able to travel for about 40 miles using just the battery, which takes about 2.75 hours to fully recharge from a high-voltage DC supply.
If we were going to spend a freezer-full of Franklins on a car, we’d like to see where that money has gone. Fortunately, the owner of a 2025 Continental GTC is reminded of it all the time and feels the fine wood veneers, the exquisite and fragrant leather, and the sumptuous cushioning of the seats. It’s never going to stop feeling special — not to us, anyway.
This is a 4-seater with 31.7 inches of rear legroom, a fraction less than the Continental GT coupe. Not that a Continental GTC buyer is going to be using this as a regular family car. For one thing, they couldn’t load in all their luggage — the GTC’s trunk measures a measly 4.7 cubic feet.
Single headlights where double headlights always used to be — that’s the main visual difference with the 2025 Continental GTC. We’re fine with the change now, having spent some time looking at the whole car. It still has an undeniable presence, while also coming across as athletic.
The GTC is a convertible with a power-operated fabric roof (featuring plenty of sound insulation). There’s also the Continental GT coupe with a fixed metal roof, which we review separately.
Choice
Bentley offers 18 paint finishes for starters, with bespoke colors available on request. The company also has 15 standard shades for all the leather that will eventually make its way into the Continental GTC’s sumptuous cabin. Then, there’s a choice of wood trims and seven colors for the fabric roof. Or explore the Mulliner personalization program to have everything exactly so — at a price.
Infotainment system
Although Bentley represents traditional high-end British automotive values, there’s contemporary tech in here as well. The infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, gesture control, and the ability to download third-party apps. It also responds to voice commands — start off with “Hey, Bentley”.
Rotating display
We think this is a cool option. One side is a 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment screen. Press a button and the whole unit rotates to show a row of three analog dials. Press again to select a panel of the same veneer as the rest of the dashboard, be it wood or carbon fiber.
Plug-in hybrid
It was inevitable, we suppose, that an electric motor would find its way into the Bentley Continental GTC Speed. This motor and the battery add weight to an already chunky car, but the hike in power (up from last year’s 650 hp) and the ability to travel a decent distance (about 40 miles) are positive aspects.
Remote Park Assist
A big car like the Continental GTC isn’t always easy to maneuver into a space, so this self-parking feature can take the stress out of the situation.
Bang & Olufsen audio
This is only the first option in sound systems, a 16-speaker/1,500-watt setup that should be just fine. We’ve heard plenty of Bang & Olufsen stuff and would gladly have it in our own cars.
Naim audio
Then again, one of the finest British cars deserves one of the finest British sound systems. Like the Continental GTC Speed’s seemingly effortless propulsion, this setup from Naim thrusts 2,200 watts through 18 speakers. Plus, a pair of “kinesthetic shakers” set into the front seats, so the music isn’t just heard, it’s also felt.
The new Continental GTC Speed’s muscular plug-in hybrid drivetrain consists of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 and an electric motor, totaling 771 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. This output goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Bentley’s new-car and powertrain warranties last three years, no matter how many miles the car has covered. The first scheduled service is free within one year or 10,000 miles.
Standard safety features in the 2025 Continental GTC include automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system. A head-up display and night vision are also available.

Yes, the Continental GTC is built to a high level and has a decent reputation for reliability. Maintenance costs are expensive, but you knew that already, right?
The GT part refers to grand tourer or grand touring — terms used for expensive cars that have plenty of power, but don’t fit in the mid-engined supercar category (think most Lamborghini and Ferrari cars) or among full-size luxury sedans, while having traits of both. And the C in this case means convertible. The Continental GTC is a 4-seater with a power-operated fabric roof.
