Predicted Resale Value after 5 Years of Ownership: 47.0%
The Kia Telluride may be new to the 3-row SUV segment, but it quickly established itself as the leader. This family-friendly SUV earned the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award both this year and in 2020, when the Telluride debuted. Its successful momentum continues as it now gets the crown for having the best resale value among 3-row midsize SUVs.
The 2021 Kia Telluride is a complete package through and through. Its list of standard features is long and commendable. They range from a potent V6 engine and up-to-date infotainment with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto to a host of safety and driver-assist systems. The Telluride comes with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring. And that’s just the base model that starts a touch over $32,000.
That’s a great value, but the Telluride is admirable in that even a model loaded with premium features including a 10.25-inch display, heated and ventilated seats, leather interior, Harman/Kardon audio, and 20-inch wheels is a terrific value at less than $43,000.
The Telluride’s design shines inside and out. It has a bold and handsome exterior and an interior that could pass for a luxury SUV. Buyers have a choice of seating for eight, or seven with second-row captain’s chairs.
The ability to maintain value isn’t the Telluride’s only long-term benefit. Its warranty that includes 10 years/100,000 miles for the powertrain is just another one of its winning traits that brings peace of mind both now and in the years ahead.
