Predicted Resale Value After 5 Years of Ownership: 55.8%
Whether you know it as the Wrangler Unlimited or the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door, this legendary SUV is once again at the top of the mountain when it comes to resale value for off-road SUVs. This version of the Jeep Wrangler has the legendary off-road capability of its smaller 2-door Wrangler kin. But in Unlimited form, there’s more space for people and gear. That added convenience also means more sales and higher demand, making the Wrangler 4-Door the most popular model on the company’s JL platform.
It’s more than just an off-road trail machine, too. As we explain in our Expert Review of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler, “Its off-road capabilities are legendary, it’s as at home crawling over boulders as it is dropping off the kids at school, and its roots date to World War II, where it is credited for helping bring victory to the Allies. So how’s that for heritage?”
Our review continues: “Today’s Jeep Wrangler is a satisfying mix of classic design and real-deal off-road chops with modern safety systems, amenities, and technology.” While the Wrangler is biased toward off-road maneuvers, this generation is the most refined yet. The seats are comfortable, the Wrangler’s Uconnect infotainment is among the best in the industry, and smartphone connectivity comes standard. Add-ons include advanced safety features and niceties like heated seats.
But if you want the classic Jeep experience, the Wrangler 4-Door has a folding windshield and removable doors, and a choice of soft- or hardtop roof. And, as we note in the expert review, “few vehicles can match the Wrangler’s off-road prowess. Even in base form, it will easily tread over terrain that would make a unibody crossover SUV cringe. Amp it up in Rubicon trim with features like front and rear locking differentials and sway-bar disconnect, and it can tackle terrain as severe as, well, the Rubicon Trail.”
That, plus the availability of a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, a gas V6, a diesel, or a 392 cubic-inch V8, and the wide range of models, and it’s no wonder the Jeep Wrangler is so popular. Between the Wrangler 4-Door’s capability, improved highway ride, and extensive trim level choices, Jeep’s fan base has even more to love about the Wrangler. Excellent resale value is icing on the cake.
