Positive Review
Own the car for 18 months now. Took a while to get used to the size - large vehicle. But, now I just love it. Smooth quiet ride with great road handling. Top build quality. Has a very good performance punch. Not a sports car but rather a powerful, full sized luxury performance sedan. Plenty of power for the enthusiast in everyday driving. Can hold its own to any car in its class. Not cheap but worth the price considering the design, build quality and powertrain. No regrets.
Critical Review
Poor steering and road control. Rides like my old Buick. Comfort takes precedence over performance. Acceleration not good in lower gears.

Looks modest in the exterior but packs a punch with its V8 twin turbo. Can be driven comfortably or sporty with the driving settings. Low maintenance with no surprising issues besides normal wear and tear. Awesome reliable v8 tfsi engine used in Porsche and Bentley
A blast to drive
Interior could’ve been more comfy
In 2019 Audi killed the S6 making it V6.. so the facelifted 16 17
450 Hp upgrade able to 720 hp
Maintenance expensive ..need trustworthy mechanic
Audi fan since I was a kid and still .. S6 will fascinate you ! Superb power and performance.. parts and labor on this one expensive.. even some Audi shops will try to avoid working on them .. quite complicated engineering.. remove oil screens before 40k miles to avoid turbo failure.. Audi catalytic converters are cheap and so close to engine.. heat will damage them prematurely so .. plan to gut em .. driving this surely comes with big $$ to spend on maintenance but it’s so well worth it for me .. drive it in dynamic mode and you’ll know what I mean.
Power, dual clutch, suspension, interior space
Steering is a bit numb. Turbo lag in Auto mode.
This is my second Audi S product. I like the styling of the exterior and interior quite a lot. The performance is above par with it's twin turbo v-8, dual clutch transmission, and air suspension. There's a slight turbo lag in full automatic, that can be alleviated with switch transmission to manual mode and setting car set up to dynamic. The S6 feels best at home on the highway, the Autobahn would be fantastic environment for it. Interior is top notch for the price, although a bit dated to some who like the latest look and equipment. I would recommend for those who do lots of miles.
Great daily
Not flashy enough for the power
Great daily driver. A sleeper with incredible performance. The last S6 trim model with a V8. No issues so far. Great in the snow. Growls with a nice exhaust like it should.
The best at just about everything
Vehicle maintenance can be expensive
My Audi by far is the nicest car I've owned. The heated seats are definitely a lecture it would not want to live without. Liquid leather interior catches everybody's attention I haven't met a single person that doesn't like this car. The 420 horsepower of the car came with I got used to that real quick and started to buy performance parts and the thing is a rocket. On my way home I had to go over a couple of mountain passes and threw some canyons and I just left my cruise at 85 mph in Indian bother touching the brakes The air ride soaks up everything and at 85 mph I still got 30 miles per gallon. After this car is paid off I'll probably keep this for a very long time More than likely I won't even sell it.
Beautiful, powerful, comfortable
Audi customer service, quality, reliability
I bought my S6 in Feb 2020 from an Audi dealership, the car went down in October 2020. It is now March 2021 and it is still in the shop. The car cannot be repaired because Audi has discontinued parts for the car. Now I am stuck with a car that cannot be driven or repaired. Audi corporate has offered no solution, their response is simply “there is nothing we can do because the parts are discontinued.” With that being said, I will never buy another Audi and would recommend choosing a luxury car manufacturer that can competently complete work on cars that their company manufactures.
Very very fast
Extremely temperamental
I've owned this car for about 3 months. Yes it is one of the best all around car available to enthusiasts. The best part is only other car enthusiasts will know that you are in something special. Here is what you don't know and I hope you never have to find out. These cars are nothing like a regular Audi. It is way more complicated to fix as well. I had to replace a $60 oil valve that was located beneath the twins. It cost me $3200 for a tear down to change. These cars are highly temperamental! When they are working it is amazing, when their not, you will consider rolling it off a cliff! If you love cars and have disposable income, go for it! If you're trying to look cool, go buy something else. I warned you!
