What Owners are Saying About the 2009 Audi Q5
"Love the car, Hate the repairs and poor resale"
"Original owner, and religiously serviced at dealership. At 49000, high oil consumption. Under warranty, new slightly larger pistons installed which solved that problem. At 113000, started up rough so took it right to dealer for service. Timing chain jumped resulting in interference strike of two valves to pistons. My car was NOT included in class action lawsuit on timing chain/tensioner defect. First repair for timing chain, tensioner is $3400, but then service dept determined that there were bent valves after all, which is another $7500. No way can this be worth it. Too bad, I really liked the car in every way. Great economy, handling, comfort, versatility, quattro drive, ... but not reliable, high costs for service, and very bad resale."
"Great vehicle until you have no warranty"
"One of the best driving vehicles we have owned in the last 35 years. BUT, the issues started happening after warranty expired. AC system went out at 28000 miles and steering system went out at 32000 miles on a 1500 mile road trip, all in places with no Audi dealers to repair. Repairs are extremely expensive and time consuming so we would recommend the extended warranty. Again, great vehicle but systems should not be failing at 30000 miles."
"Great purchase"
"Overall it's a very well built vehicle. Since this is our 1st Audi SUV we definitely got a good one. Styling is very modern even for a 5 year old car. Performance is great, acceleration is great for mid-size Suv. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking."
