Positive Review
I took deliver of my 2011 A8L four months ago. After driving a BMW750 Li, Benz SL550, I chose the Audi. The car is a value when you compare it to the aforementioned vehicles. This car is beautiful and the interior is elegant. Not many on the road, so you get a lot of people taking a second look at it. Many gadgets to play with on this car. No problem with this car so far and I don't expect many as AUDI stands behind their product. IPhone sync's well with the Bluetooth.
Critical Review
The Audi A8L appears to be a great car. But there is a secret that Audi is keeping from you. If your A8 is in an accident, it can take 2-3 months for it to be repaired. The reason is that Audi limits the repair shops which are authorized to repair the vehicle. I live in a city with 5 million people and there is only one repair shop that employs one technician who can repair the vehicle. My car has been in the shop for 7 weeks and work has not even started yet. Audi implements this insane policy by refusing to sell parts to otherwise qualified repair shops. I complained to Audi USA and they refused to provide me an alternative vehicle or buy the car back. It makes no sense to purchase a car, in particular one that cost between $90k and $100k which you cannot drive for 2 to 3 months because of Audi's policy to limit the ability of collision shops to repair their vehicles.

Car is in excellent condition, runs great and very clean. A couple of door dings and scratches on side of car. Drivers seat has small tear in the middle of the bottom. The rest of the interior is perfect. New set of tires are on car.
Head turning and fun to drive
Mechanical repairs are painfully expensive
This is my first Audi and I have been pleasantly surprised overall. For starters, it is a beautiful car that earns me complements where ever I go. The ride and performance have been beyond my expectations with the turbo V8. I have often been surprised to see the speedo at 90+, while continuing to feel securely in control. The technology of the options are way ahead of any car I have previously owned, and the luxurious look/feel of the interior is amazing.
Great Ride with air suspension-Good looking
Rims can be scrapped easily-slow computer '16 tech
Luxury comes at a big price but you have to be all in. 3.0 engine absolutely great on gas 30 mpg highway but needs 93 octane. Aluminum body car only weighs 4450 pounds but looks like 5000. Gets up and goes, supercharger and fast shifting automatic 0-60 times 5.5 and the tourque ban is good. No complaints on room L model. Quality materials and build, no squeeks or rattles. Still a car, a little harder to get in and out of compared to a SUV. Maintence is expensive recommend finding a good mechanic that works on foreign cars, not Audi Dealership, that's why it's not for everyone. Rarity, not to many around, it will be 15-1 Mercedes S Class or 7 BMW's before you spot an A8. Center Screen disappears into the dash but reappears if backing up or starting up.
Comfort, engine performance and mileage, reliabili
The Quattro eats through tires
Best car in its class, hands down.I have had seven Audis, Mercedes, Porsche, and Jaguar. While each has had some advantages, the overall experience of the Audi A8 is by far the best. One of the powertrain options that is not discussed in the review is the turbo diesel. This is the one that I own, even though Audi had to modify the engine because of the admissions scandal. This engine gets 40 miles per gallon on long drives, and my long term mileage for city and highway is 31.5. When I get service at my Audi dealer, I am always given a loaner which is usually on A6 or Q7. These are not half the car that I have. In the past, I have traded every 3 to 4 years and have had this car for nearly 8 years. I don’t intend to trade it anytime soon unless it is outfitted with an electric engine. For the price, I cannot imagine a better used car. If you can find a diesel, buy it now.
Best car I've ever owned. Comfortable, excellent gas mileage, reliable. NO COMPLAINTS!
Power, comfort, amenities
Exterior not as stylish some other vehicles.
I switched from a 2008 Lexus Ls 460. Did quite a bit of homework before switching. I was specifically looking for the A8L Sport with the Bang and Olufsen and rear seat comfort package. I've had my vehicle for three weeks. I'm truly satisfied. Great power, comfort and amenities. The Bang and Olufsen stereo was worth waiting on and the comfort of the seats are priceless.
Spacious, Fast, Comfortable, Luxurious
Wish it was louder, but not a deal breaker
I expected the car to be good, but it wasn’t. It was amazing, almost perfect in fact. As a used car is perfect because of the prices you can get it at, but brand new maybe not because it loses value pretty soon. However, I wouldn’t care because this car is so good I wouldn’t care losing money on it. I have the 4.0t and man is this thing fast. I timed it from 0-60 in 3.8s and I’ve raced many cars and for now remain undefeated in this thing. I even raced a Porsche Cayman GT4 and dusted it. It also have great traction from that Quattro AWD for New Jersey’s snowy days. But the best part of the car is how it combines speed and luxury together, this car is so refined and the interior is so well built that you feel special just sitting in it(specially with the massage function in the seats). The ride is comfortable but not comfortable to the point where it feels soft and uninspiring around a corner. There is barely any body roll and the car just feels comfortable but at the same time sporty everywhere you go. It also has so much space that me sitting with my seat set for my 6 foot frame, my son who is 17 and is a monster at 6’4 and 260lbs can easily fit behind me. Same goes for the trunk where I was able to fit 2 whole carts full of food from a supermarket and with still some extra space left. Another thing I love is that it makes you feel cool and special because your are in 1: An Audi, 2: Audi’s best sedan(well except for the S8) and 3: It’s a sleeper because it actually embarrasses many sports cars and you would never think that based on its big-car looks. Also some people complain about the infotainment system’s speeds, but I have no problem with it and I love the google earth function too. Definitely wow’s my friends and my kids when they see that map. If I had to say one con which it isn’t really a con and it actually helps you fly under the radar even stealthier, it would be that I wish it was louder. The engine sounds great but is a lower pitch sound, I would prefer it was louder but thats just me. Other than that, love this car!
luxury and fun to drive
if you are in the budget there are no cons
The best luxury sedan on the market for quality and price on the matrix scale. Audi is very original in it's own way Everybody need to own at least one audi in their lifetime.
