Positive Review

"Best vehicle I've ever owned"

I've owned my A6 for 4 weeks. This vehicle has outstanding style, performance and technology. I continue to learn more about the vehicle's technology which is not difficult to implement however with any new technology there is a learning curve. My wife and I love the style and comfort of the interior however we are most impressed with the safety features. We feel very safe and secure even when traveling some of the worst interstates in America, ex. I-4 between Tampa and Orlando. I would recommend this vehicle 100% to individuals who are looking for a safe, comfortable, stylish, technologically advanced ride with outstanding performance.

"2020 V6 A6"

I recently purchased an A6 V6. The car is very comfortable, drives smooth and has great pickup. However, when I come to a stop, about 60% of the time there is a loud clunking noise that happens when I stop. Been to the dealer 3X AND I spoke with Audi and they say this is normal for this transmission. This transmission seems to be on the A7 as well.

Buyer beware

I bought this car a new in 2019. In the past year, it has had two very serious problems. The generator malfunctioned last fall, causing a cascading series of problems that ultimately required the card to be towed into the dealership for service. Just today a low pressure, fuel valve, malfunctioned, causing the car to go into “limp mode” with RPMs limited to 2500 in the middle of a long road trip. Steer clear, or buy an extended warranty.

Rare Wagon
Pros

Practical, Refined, Comfortable, Rare

Cons

High price tag, gas mileage could be better.

The Audi A6 Allroad Prestige is the 4th Audi I’ve owned. Previously, I had a 2018 Q3 and 2019 Q5. I still own my 2009 TT Roadster. I am an absolute fan of all those vehicles, but for sure the A6 Allroad is the most luxurious and refined of the Audi models I’ve owned. There is something special about a wagon. It has all the practicality of an CUV/SUV, but the drivability and handling of a sedan. No one buys wagons, so there is some degree of exclusivity that makes this care unique. I owned two Subaru Outbacks … however, those models sit very high, so it feels more like a CUV/SUV than a wagon. This model definitely gets attention. It has a great looking exterior and the interior is made from high quality materials. The ambient lighting enhances the appearance of the interior at night. The air suspension makes for an extremely comfortable ride. It soaks up all the imperfections on the roads without any issues . There is hardly any wind noise at high speeds. What I like most about this car is that it has a lower center of gravity, so I don’t feel that top heavy feeling from driving an CUV/SUV. And because the roof is lower, I can easily get my bike and other gear on without difficulty. The B

Cons

minor electronic issues

This is already my second A6, previous one was 2013. Overall, I like Audi more than MB and BMW, no matter in services, style, performance and reliability. For sedan, S8 and A6 are the best. Minor problem on electrical parts is unavoidable but dealer can fix it within a reasonable time. Unlike BM, loaner car always available.

Beautiful Car; Some Issues
Pros

Drive characteristics, comfort, quality

Cons

Electrical system, interior storage

I recently traded in my 2019 A6 due to a gremlin in the ignition system that raised broader concerns about the electronics. In colder weather, the engine occasionally failed to turnover and the brake pedal became unmovable. Took it in for repair, but the problem resurfaced several months later. Overall, the A6 is a great driving car. It is very comfortable and quiet on the road, the interior is exceptional, and it has excellent acceleration. I am not a big fan of the upper and lower displays. They work, but they caused me to look down from the road too long to make adjustments. I also had to replace the computer once when the screens went dark. The other limitation is the overall lack storage space on the center console.

Classy sedan a cruising vehicle of great comfort
Pros

Superb cruiser on long trips comfortable w tech

Cons

Not best car for twisty roads sport handling

Excellent and classic overall Audi style and workmanship. I have had this car for a one year period and can report no tech nor engineering related issues. I have the prestige edition with massaging seats and 20 inch wheels. Ride is insulated from the outside noise of the world and despite large tires, the vehicle delivers extreme comfort as I drive on an interstate that is hobbled by winter bad weather. Routine on my drive down from Lk Tahoe to Reno and then back uphill, I average near 40 miles overall per gallon. Thus, I can get near 600 miles of highway cruising to a tankful. I do not drive like an idiot and cruise at 70 mph letting others pass me. Believe me, though, when I press on the accelerator, this car will go fast as need be. I love the Apple Car play and ability while driving to use all of the driver safety features and be able to send and receive texts by voice. The Audi Apple Car Play is flawless and I can send a text out verbally to others that is oftentimes a couple of minutes long without any need for correction. Car is classic in its lines and I get rave reviews and a lot of staring at it when parked. Of course standard AWD quattro helps and in winter weather and snow, and the car handles extremely well suffice one puts on a dedicated winter tire. This is not a sport sedan and I agree that in twisting roads there are better vehicles to drive. It is also a touch expensive but Audi is oftentimes more competitive than others and offers many loyalty discounts on its vehicles.

What a car
Pros

Fun to drive

Cons

Value drops to quickly

This car makes you feel like you are on air. Best car I ever owned. Had a 2016 traded for 2019 big difference in comfort. Only problem loses value quickly.

A Great All-Season Car for Enthusiasts!
Pros

Oozes luxury, scratches the enthusiast's itch

Cons

A few minor electronic gremlins may crop up

The comfort level, the quiet, and the sound system are phenomenal - I have the Prestige trim with the Sport package, the cold weather package, and a few other add-ons. The fantastic instrumentation takes a little getting used to, but proves to be fairly intuitive over time. I got a warning light for 'high' oil level, which needed a visit to the dealer to rectify (even though no oil was added by me since purchase). That explains my rating on reliability being less than perfect. The adaptive cruise control can be overly aggressive (adjustable, but have not messed with it yet). Occasionally, there is a slight delay in accelerating from a stop. I am getting reasonable fuel economy considering the cold weather (about 23 mpg in mixed driving, though mostly in town). Overall, it is a great car, whether commuting to work, driving on the interstate with the family, or (occasionally) going on a banzai run to clear the cobwebs in my mind!:)
