Kia Unveils New Logo, Slogan, Previews Big Changes

The record for the world’s largest coordinated drone display now belongs to Kia. The brand used unmanned aerial vehicles firing off fireworks simultaneously to unveil its new logo—still the Kia name, but in a new stylized script, with letters that flow together, in blue. Guinness World Records was on hand to certify the effort.

The announcement was a pre-announcement of sorts. Kia told reporters to expect a thorough explanation of its plans for the next several years on January 15.

In the meantime, we have a new slogan—“Movement that Inspires”. The motto hints that a $25 billion product plan is on the way. It will include at least seven new electric cars by the end of 2027, new off-road-oriented, body-on-frame SUVs, and even a Humvee-like vehicle aimed at military sales. Those electric vehicles will likely be based on the new all-electric platform unveiled by partner company Hyundai last month.
