- B2 Pickup Truck joins B1 Sport Utility Truck

Electric vehicle start-up company Bollinger Motors has announced a second entry to its planned lineup, the B2 Pickup Truck. Bollinger made news earlier this year when the company announced that the B1 Sport Utility Truck had received over 20,000 reservations. Bollinger is billing the B2 as “the world’s first all-electric all-wheel drive pickup truck.”
The B2 will be driven by two electric motors, one front and one rear, with a combined output of 520 hp and 514 lb-ft of torque. Bollinger claims that it will be capable of runs from 0 – 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 100 mph. A 120 kWh battery pack will provide power to the motors, with an estimated 200 miles of range and an mpg-equivalent rating of 70.2. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 charging capability will all be included, along with regenerative braking.
All-aluminum construction
The off-road capable truck will have 15 inches of ground clearance and 10 inches of wheel travel. The truck rides on a 139.0-inch wheelbase, and is 207.5 inches long, 77.2 inches wide and 72.7 inches tall, weighing in at 5,000 lbs, and capable of carrying a payload of 5,001 lbs and towing up to 7,500 lbs. The B2 has an all-aluminum body, and styling that emulates the classic Land Rover Defender series.
Pricing for the B2 and B1 has not yet been announced. Production is scheduled to begin in 2019 with deliveries to follow in 2020. Reservations for B1 and B2 are open at the Bollinger Motors website, with no deposit required.
