Positive Review
I purchased my 2006 Acura TSX pre-owned from an Acura dealer in mid-2010 with 48,000 miles on it; it had come off of a lease and was in very good condition. Simply put, this car is exceptional - fun to drive, loaded with luxury options, great looking, surprisingly inexpensive to own and maintain, and reliable. I could not be happier with this vehicle.
Critical Review
I have had a TSX since 2004, and have had 4 major failures with it. Each failure, had I not been lucky with recall/warranty, or had I not done a little research to find other options, would have cost near to or over $1k to repair. I experienced the following issues: 1 - Navigation system user interface and dash computer complete replacement. One day it just didn't work, and I had to have the entire system replaced. Luckily that one was covered under warranty. 2 - Rear wheel camber misalignment. The rear wheel camber was out of spec, so the car would eat through tires and was very noisy and shaky. In order to repair it, all of the parts (7 or more I think) of the rear wheel mounting/alignment system needed to be replaced. This would have cost me around $3700 to replace had I had it done at the dealer. Instead, I had an after market camber kit ($107) for a Honda Accord put in at a shop that pimps out cars for street racing. I can still hear a little noise on the highways, but it is now within factory specifications. 3 - Air conditioner failure. The air conditioner stopped working. When I had it looked at, there were metal shavings in the oil within the compressor. This repair cost me $1400. 4 - Front headlight failure. You would think that a headlight burning out would be cheap to fix. Not on a TSX. The light repair cost $675. The reason is that the entire headlight assembly needed to be replaced due to a moisture leak in the seal. Luckily this problem ended up becomeing a recall later on, so a year later I was reimbursed. Anyway, when everything functions properly, this car is really fun to drive, and has elegant and classy styling. There are tons of toys and human comfort functions that seem to amaze people when they ride in it. I would never buy another Acura though because after having ridden in a few newer Hondas, I realize that an Acura is just an overpriced Honda. The difference is they look better, and all of the new toys and features will appear in an Acura first. Hope this helps.

I purchased my 2007 Acura TSX and the only problem is the Navigation System it goes in and out and the then the screen goes black however the radio still plays but you just can't see anything.
Reliable, appearance, quality, easy to work on
Leather seats (lol)
I've owned the car for about 10 months now, I've definitely had to put money into it. But nothing more than regular maintenance. I would probably say this is the best car I've owned, and it has 271,000 miles (still has original engine). It is a 6 speed manual and is a blast to drive. I drive it hard daily and it holds up. I am a mechanic for a living, and I'd say these cars have one of the best engines ever produced. If you do your maintenance, they will not fail. The quality with everything is great, aside from the leather seats.. they tend it rip and not age well. Other than that, they really have no major issues. Just keep up on your maintenance like you should with any car.
This is the best car I have ever known crashed 4 times it still like I didn’t crash at all after a quick fix I must say it very durable
A solid good ride
Prone to rust undercarriage and rear fenders
I'ved owned my new Acura TSX for more than 18 years and it provided reliable and enjoyable services all that time. The only comment I can do is that it is prone to undercarriage rust. I've rust treated it a couple of times with rust check and Krown, but it kept rusting to the point where the manual transmission lost its oil and busted. I had to replace the whole tranmission and now wish that it will last another two years.
Too many to list.
No daytime running lights.
Can't say enough good about my 2008 Acura TSX. I've owned it 14 years and no complaints. I expect it to be the last car I ever buy.
Extremely fun to drive on windy roads.
Stock brake rotors wobbled. Had to replace.
I'm the original owner of this Charcoal Gray 2006 TSX and I simply love it. On top of routine maintenance, I've only had to replace the rear driver side turn signal bulb, the little bulb in the center storage tray underneath the climate controls, brake pads and rotors, and my clutch at 110K, but that's too be expected. I was recently looking at getting a new 2022 vehicles, but after all of the price markups and electronic component dependency nightmares, I opted to keep on driving my fun 6 speed. I've cleaned up my engine bay and had to redid my front grill trim, and after a wheel polish and wax coat, the car shines like new. Just love it every time I get into it.
Fun to drive, easy to maintain, underrated
Rear seats were a bit small
I received my car a little over a year ago, and it has always been an amazing vehicle. Quick, responsive, pretty fuel efficient, everything I could ask for. Slapped on a new paint job, a wing, bunch of stickers, all that jazz. It recently got into a crash going about 50 mph. It did amazing. Did its job and kept my passenger and me safe. I really appreciate all that it's done for me and I hope to fix it just for the emotional value this car had to me. If it's anyone's beginner car, you're in good hands!
Fun sporty handling quick sound system
Rear leg room 6k vtec
Owner of 7 years bought the car with 130,000 miles still driving the car till this day even with my new vehicle but car has been great over the year and I can say aside from a alternator and a broken serpentine belt it’s never left me stranded car has preformed great very fun to drive gas mileage can be iffy if you like vtec but other wise it’s not to bad 27-31 hwy at 70 mph city’s about 26 and that’s still current to today with 283k do your maintenance and keep up on oil changes and do your timing chain every 200k and Tranny flush the rest is just small wear and tear from road conditions like any other car only
