Positive Review
The Acura TLX is just purely amazing! It catches all my friends eyes and gets compliments everywhere I go. The safety features in this car really Helps for long drives or when my dad needs to use it around town. I really like the solid build of this car and will keep this one for a while.
Critical Review
While the exterior styling rock, the interior is awful. I have the Advance package so I have heads up display otherwise steering wheel blocks dash view. Console is not designed for anyone who drives. There is no place to rest your key while driving. The wireless charging pad works intermittently at best. Cup holders are way too big so drinks topple over. My big beef is the infotainment system which is an abomination. I traded a 2018 RLX which was super easy to use. The TLX infotainment is hard to use, hard to read and is a joke foe a $49k vehicle. The pro reviewers have got it wrong. This is a bad vehicle and my last Acura. Our MBZ is a much better vehicle and that will be the next one.

Expected a lot more from Acura: Will not buy another.....Glorified Honda accord 1) infotainment is outdated and worthless 12 presets for favorites ...the whole setup is not user friendly and inadequate 2) Had buyer remorse after owning it 1 week 3) The drivers seat takes time to get used too 4) The features are not in mark with the overprice of the vehicle( ie) No heated steering wheel on a Aspec AWD 5) LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO AN INTEGRA FROM FAR AWAY or up close. Pros .....The stereo sounds good (The ELS system) Wished I would have gone with an Audi A5 premium Plus black out package or prestige package .......the prices are very comparable to the tlx
Looks great, fast car
Infotainment, mouse pad, charging pad
I went from Toyota to Acura. A 2023 TLX Type S. This car is beautiful and fast but the inside is horrible. If my phone is plugged in or on the charging pad it overheats. New phone, doesn't do this in any other vehicle. Living in California it's hot, often! The infotainment screen does not come on if it's hot outside. The mouse pad is ridiculous. If I want to search an address it's not an option. The keyboard does not work, ever. Too many things driving me crazy. Needless to say, I just went back to Toyota and now I'm happy!
Styling, Comfort, Tech, Audio System
Rear seat legroom, lack of some creature comforts
A few reasons I bought this car: The styling, the audio system, large screens and the superb ride and handling without having to worry about living in a dealer with issues. The car has been fantastic so far and excited for many more years of driving.
First let me say this is my 5th Acura. I started with the TSX then TL then 3 TLX and I have to say the 2023 TLX A Spec is my worst choice. Exterior this car screams speed and style but interior and powerplant are a HUGE disappointment. My 2020 TLX A Spec had a strong responsive throaty 6 cyl engine. The 2023 has a turbocharged 4cyl! If I had done my research, with this change alone I would have found a different car. The 4cyl is peppy and responsive but sounds like a whiny 4cyl. Surprisingly it gets terrible gas mileage even when its on economy mode ave 21-22 city and maybe if you're lucky 26-28 hwy! My 2020 got 26-27 city and low 30's hwy not economy mode. The interior where do I start. Wireless charge pad works at best a trickle charge rate and its location is terrible. Apple car play requires your phone to be plugged into a USB to work, no bluetooth connection, a HUGE mistake especially if you're paying 45-50K for the vehicle. The finger pad control is at times non responsive and the material Acura used for the entire dash including the odd "mushroom head" dash above the steering wheel (you just have to see it) smudges and smears dust very easily making it hard to keep clean. I will say the safety features are amazing. The cabin road noise is much louder than my 2020 TLX. Overall I am disappointed with the changes Acura made since the 2020, I'm not at all impressed.
This is my 5th Acura, my second tlx! I traded my 2019 tlx a spec for this 2024 tlx a spec. Loved my 2019 but this car drives and handles so much better and the power is great! The A spec comes with almost everything you want. The ride is nice ,power is great, and the fuel economy isn’t bad my first 2000 miles avg 26 mpg. A very beautiful luxury & sports looking car. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it already. No complains at this time!
Dollar for dollar, the best value in a luxury performance sedan. I would not hesitate to buy another.
Good fuel economy
I'm a multi purchaser of Acura Honda vehicles and I've never been unsatisfied with any purchase they have awesome reliability great resale value and they suit my needs
Lots of fun to drive handles great!
no real cons yet I found
Traded our RDX for the A-spec in black. The paint is amazing and really sparkles in the sunlight when it brings out all the different spec colors in the paint. Handles amazing, 85 feels like 40mph and is very comfortable. Seats have great heat in the winter even up the small of your back, the cooled seats in the summer makes the leather so much nicer. The interior lighting looks fantastic and the flat bottom steering wheel is much more comfortable and easy to control. Car has a lot of power and handling is amazing.
