Positive Review
I have an RLX Sport Hybrid with Advance Package. About 7,000 miles now. 30 mpg average in all kinds of driving is spectacular for a 4400# sedan that gets to 60 in under 5s and has such brilliant mid-range, everyday performance. High quality interior with materials, fit and finish that rivals anything in any car costing 20 grand more MSRP. In Sport Mode, the 7 DCT stays in the rev range and does fancy double downshifts when the car senses it's necessary. Active steering lane guidance, radar controlled cruise, and the most brilliant (overall) sound system that I've ever experienced in an automobile. A SOLID CHOICE if you spend a lot of time in your car. Now...there are some quirks aimed at keeping former Honda racers entertained. Some people maybe don't WANT their 7 DCT doing double downshifts, and some people may be unprepared for the car's rear electric motors pointing the car toward the apex, quickly and efficiently. For a big sedan, this is a driver's car. Maybe too much a driver's car if you are comparing it to a Lexus or Mercedes. :-)
Critical Review
after having my 2015 for a year and a half im very disappointed in what was sold to me. Picture this. Pretty shiny car drives ok on short neighborhood test drive but when its sold to me for 20,000+ i put down 4000.00 and sold a extended warranty for almost 3000.00 told it was great but it doesn't cover much as electrical parts , like door handles, headlights, which are failing at the same time and cost 6000.00 to fix. But i only got 1 key fob promise 2, driver mat had quarter size hole in middle, Promise winter mats but never given and and factory cloth mats 1300. Don't understand why. So to say beautiful lemon. they replaced all rims, front dampers but i still get some vibrations and a very harsh ride over bumps. After that i would be in service almost every month. Rotors was turned, car wouldn't go pass 50 mph , pressure switch covered but i had to pay 300 to service transmission noy long after buying, then tires, brakes and rotors turned, trunk would pop open during winter, touch pad had to be replaced. Now headlights need to be replaced due to leaky seals and reading problem across dash 6000.00 not covered, 2 door handles stop lighting another 600.00. failing parts almost every month. Now 6,000 for headlights, and 600 for door. 2 front speakers stop working another 600.

Replaced my 10 year old Toyota Avalon (165,000 miles) with this 2016 Acura RLX with Advance Package which included all the bells and whistles Acura made. Bought new from dealer who priced it very low to sell (as did another dealer) plus doubled their Avalon trade-in offer after seeing it. Still think highly of this RLX after 7 years of owning it. Very quiet, roomy, comfortable yet firm ride, large trunk, 310hp has plenty of power/torque for a 4000 lb. car yet still averages 31-34 mpg on highway trips. Have had no significant mechanical repairs. Is a step up from the Avalon but maybe not in the Lexus/Mercedes/BMW class its original list price indicated. Would consider buying a newer updated model but Acura discontinued the RLX in 2020 due to low sales and market shifting to SUVs. Drawbacks for me are the two small dashboard touch screens (can barely be seen through polarized sunglasses) and navigation system which was outdated when car was new. Also the wider, lower profile 'sport' tires get louder as they age but higher profile (softer and quieter) are not made for this vehicle. Still, very satisfied with it but may have to step up to higher priced makes/models when it's time to replace it.

No issues at all. We need to sell to purchase an SUV. We love this car and have had no issues at all. This is our third Acura RL.

It's stylish, roomy , comfortable, dependable, great in the snow. Great passing speed, has navation, serious xm radio. And many more bells / wissells, it holds the road, and curves at high speeds. Back seats fold down, to put long objects in the cab.
