Positive Review
I bought this car(SUV) after test driving numerous high-quality SUV's. Namely the Infinity FX35,EX35,Lexus RX-350, and the GS350(not an Suv),and the 2012 ACura MDX. I picked out these cars based upon it's quality and realiablity. I would have test driven the Audi and the BMW, but the quality from "Consumer Reports" rated them average to below average. The BMW especially looked awesome but I was looking at reliablity first and then quality,if I'm going to drop this kind of money on any car I really don't want to spend extra money having to fix it over and over again. I found the FX35 has a very nice high quality interior and good strong power, but the ride was just too bumpy and pronounced. I had to keep an intense eye on the road at all times while going through all those bumps. The RX350's interior is just luxurious and the reliability was stellar, but the ride was just too cushiony and soft. You really had to slow down before taking a turn. My wife would like this car but it wasn't for me. The MDX from Acura was the better car I felt after driving the others. The ride was smooth and the handling was exceptional. But this is a 3-row seat vehicle and much too large. I was looking for a 5-seater only. Then, I test drove the Acura RDX. This SUV/car was very smooth and fast. It had great power and handled nicely even in the turns. The steering was a little light but it handled well. It's interior wasn't the best I saw when comparing these cars but it was nicely done and adequate for an upscale car. Looked even better with the optional wood grain steering wheel, wood shifter, console and wood door trims. The all weather floor and cargo mats & cover were nice as well as the mud guards and side mouldings, bumper applique, and all the protection accessories. The fuel economy was also very good compared to the others with it's valve management system of shutting down 2-3 valves when not needed. The paddle shifters were a joy to use in Sports mode, very quick to shift and fun to use after getting to use it. The ride is very comfortable and smooth, although some car magazines and testers said it was bumpy..? Very wrong here, this is very nice and smooth even on bumpy roads, which we have an abundance of. The only question I have is why Consumer Reports has positioned this in the Sports- SUV category? I can see the previous model being in this category, but this model seems misplaced here. It should be in the luxury-upscale,2-row seating SUV category. There are many other suv's that can be placed in the Sports-SUV category other than this model. This is a completely redesigned Suv from the previous model with greater power, interior room and comfort. Test drive one for yourself and you be the judge.
Critical Review
I purchased this car because of the Honda/Acura name. I've owned 4 Honda Accords prior to purchasing this vehicle and was MOST excited about having a PREMIER vehicle of the Acura class. I was WRONG. NO previous vehicle I've ever owned / driven is a noisy as this one (trucks included). I was told by one of the tech's at the dealer that the Acura RDX does not have the road noise damping features that are standard on all the other models. WHY??? When I run over manhole covers/bumps in the road there is noise from all areas of the car. I'm considering trading it in for a much quieter ride.

Reliable, safe, good power
Outdated style
I bought this car new. Best car I've ever owned. Reliable, safe and fun to drive. The 6 cylinder engine is so much better than the new 4 cyl turbo. I will be teaching my daughter to drive with this car.
reliability, fuel mileage, ventilated seats
lots of hard plastic inside, ride is just OK
For comparison purposes, my other car is a '14 Lexus RX. This car is not that. I bought this car in August 2020 as a CPO. It had about 28K on it when I bought it. I was happy to get the Advance package, as it has real leather seating, ventilated seating, collision avoidance, and the better sound system. It now has 46K on it. My wife and I are both retired, so it really doesn't get driven much as we alternated it with the Lexus. It also sits most of the winter as we are away. My son does drive both my cars while we are away in the winter, and he prefers the Acura. He's a big guy 6'4", 265, and this car has a narrower tunnel than the Lexus, so he has more leg/knee room side to side. I should probably rate it at 4.5 stars, and I'm probably being too hard on it as the comparison to the Lexus is a high bar for any car to reach. It's needed no repairs, save for a rear hatch lock assembly, and that's probably my fault for squirting white lithium grease up into the assembly and harming the sensor. I was disappointed that dealer couldn't just clean it off and reinstall it. They insisted it needed to be replaced. Other than that, at 4 or 4.5 stars, it loses points only for the ride, noise and the amount of hard plastic inside- again, it's just not an RX. It is quicker than the RX by a full second 0-60, 6.6 vs 7.6, and at about 400 lbs lighter, it handles better. It's more fun to drive that way. All in all, an excellent car.
Dependable, performance, stylish

I have a 2017 Acura RDX and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. It has a the best vehicle I have ever owned. Other than routine maintenance, it has been in for repairs one time. It now has almost 90,000 miles. When I start shopping for a new vehicle it will be another Acura RDX.
Extremely reliable! great ride, luxurious
None!
This is an incredible value! Smooth ride, great acceleration and handling and extraordinarily reliable. I do not dote on this car but with 110,000 miles on this vehicle it is still like new! I have done routine maintenance and I have required no repairs outside of that. Buy, buy, buy!
Great condition one owner low mileage Parked in a garage in a gated community mostly driven locally for small errands
Reliability and value
Not very stylish
Like other Honda's and Acura's that I've had over decades, this 2017 Acura RDX is supremely reliable. All you have to do is regular maintenance and you have a super reliable vehicle. That's number 1 in my book. Down time with a car is Really Bad and a waste of time and can be worse than that. It handles well, in sport mode it's quite quick, it's stable, good sound system, comfortable, storage is good, etc. The only thing I can say, and I'll take this from my wife, it's not very stylish. It's kind of boring looking compared to some more sporty looking SUV's. So, it depends what you want. If you want a very high quality SUV at a reasonable price, and are not too concerned with a really sporty look, the Acura RDX, is a great choice.
comfort, quietness, smoothness
adaptive cruise control
Bought 7/17 as a certified car with 16k miles. This SUV has been trouble free except for a tech bulletin fix for front brake replacement at 23k miles; warranteed. With the acoustic glass and extra insulation of the Advance Package, this SUV is quiet and smooth. My only complaint is with the adaptive cruise control, it seems far too sensitive. (I don't think i would like it on any car.) Gas mileage has been consistent at 20 in town, high as 29 freeway. I have 2 steep hills to climb from my home and this SUV has been perfect in the snow without chains or snow tires. I replaced original Michelin's with Continental tires and they are much better.
great gas mileage
none
the most reliable car I have ever purchased, over 4 years and no issues, except a battery, comfort and enjoyability.
