Positive Review
After 9 years owning Audis I traded my last A4 for the ILX. I loved my Audi but the repair cost post warranty is just too high. Comparing the IL X to the entry level offerings from Lexus, infinity, BMW and Volvo made the decision easy. The ILX is better looking than all of them and the price lower. The car is so roomy in the front and the finish of the cabin and exterior is very luxurious. The reviews which criticize rear passenger room make no sense to me since all the compact luxury sedans have cramped rear seats. Driving performance is great, while not as invigorating as the German offerings, but with grater promised reliability and lower costs ( maintenance, regular gas and thousands lower List Price) it fits perfectly with a young professionals lifestyle. In this economy us gen x and y folks want to drive a high end vehicle with style and performance but we don't want to sacrifice saving for the future, paying down the mortgage or going into debt all to carry a huge car payment. The ilx fits the bill perfectly.
Critical Review
I traded in my TSX and purchased an ILX Hybrid with Tech. I regret this purchase with all my heart and I am very close to taking a loss and trading it in I am that unhappy with it. The handling and breaking are nothing like the TSX, I am not even going to comment on the acceleration, it's a joke. The trunk is over 4 cubic feet smaller and the seats don't go down because there are batteries in the trunk. There is hardly any storage in the cabin, the only thing you could fit in the door would be a water bottle. The sound system sounds far from premium, the blue tooth is very poor quality, the tires are an inch smaller and look puny. I don't know what I was thinking buying this car. Oh and I haven't been able to get over 35 mpg highway yet. Acura made a big mistake with this car. IT IS NOT WORTH 34k, and I would NEVER recommend this to a friend, family member or a stranger. It's the worst feeling ever being so disappointed with a big purchase like this. If you owned a TSX and loved it then I promise you will hate the ILX.

I like it I love it. Pretty high mileage when I bought it, but I like it. Performance is good, as well as the quality of the interior.
I’m at about 200,000 miles now and still runs smooth and no issues aside having to fix an AC issue. This is my 5th Acura and I’m keeping this one for as long as she runs which I hope is another 200,000 miles.
Fun 2 drive, cute looking, room for hoes, reliable
slow, not aggressive looking, speakers suck,
Had this car for a year now and love it! Handles perfectly on sharp corners and twists. Slow but fun.
Reliable and performance
Low point of entry
Great car and fun to drive, especially with the Premium/A Spec packages and rare red leather/black suede “NSX” seats
Great AC. Good Ride. Great Car!
Nothing
Great Car!! Drives real smooth. Good Gas Mileage. Dual Clutch is Great. Would Recommend to anyone.
A reliable car for the past 18 months
Noisy brakes and smallish trunk
The ILX was rated as the most affordable luxury car. It's a slightly better Honda Civic. The brakes have a horrible screeching sound. Perhaps because the dealer did not put Acura brake pads on the car when I asked to have them replaced. The only mechanical issue I've had is a battery that died. This car is stylish and sleek but lack modern features ie blind spot sensing. The blue tooth is extremely difficult to connect. It was impossible for passengers to do so. It has decent power for a 4 cylinder. I got a lot of compliments on how good the car looks. However, in 2022 the technology inside the car does not match the appearance. The trunk is small. If the opening to the backseat area was larger that would make up for the lack of space. I upgraded to a 2018 TLX and that has everything the 2015 ILX is missing and more.
fun to drive
noisy engine
It is really clean and suitable for families. when i stepped in it seemed very comfortable and very calm sounding.
I bought my 2014 Acura ILX in 2016 with 40,000 miles on it. This car is dependable, affordable, great styling. I've owned many cars new and used but this is a great car. When I bought it the used car salesman wanted me to purchase a Lexus instead. He said as I was leaving in my new/used Acura "I'll see you in 2 years when you trade this thing in". Well guess what it's been 6 years now and hands down this is the best car EVER and I won't be trading it in for years still.
