Positive Review
I bought my Z435i bmer on December of 2010 with 5000 miles on it. It's got the sports package, navigation, and is blk on blk. I have it as a second car, not as a commuter. The car's only issue has been a small leak in one of the folding top joints, which was quickly and successfully repaired by the dealer back in 2012. It drives like new, and even after five years, people comment on it.
Critical Review
I bought this car a few years back and put about 45,000 miles on it. This is a sports car. You feel every inch of the road and when the road is good, this is a great thing. When the roads are rough, this is a bad, very bad thing. The interior of the car is well laid out and comfortable, but I would not say it is luxurious. The seats are great for long drives and overall feel of the car is high end. The real issue with the car is that because it is a sports car, it gets banged around a great deal over rough roads. In the last year, one strut cracked, a wheel cracked, the top stopped working, the muffler started to rattle and the climate control began to buzz. This is all with less than 50k miles. It was monumental struggle to get BMW to cover the wheel (which had already been recalled in the UK)and strut under warranty and they flat out refused to cover the top, muffler and climate control saying they were all normal wear products. The convertible top? Anyway, sold it this week and bought a Mercedes SL550.

Hard Top Convertible
Timeless design for the exterior and interior. Zippy engine in a hard-top convertible. It's hard to not be in love with this machine.
Powerful and fast.
Small cargo space with the top down.
I bought my 2011 Z4 this summer from the original owner with 26,000 miles on it. It is what I call the my weekend car and it’s used primarily as a vehicle to have fun with. This car fulfills what I wanted and expected from it, a blast to drive with the top down with no destination in mind. It’s great looking, fast and a pleasure to drive. The hardtop goes up and down quickly and is easy to operate. Love it!
Fun to drive, Can handle abuse.
the lsd and traction/stability control sucks
I bought my z4 with 30k miles. I am over 125k on it now. I have taken it to skid pads, track days, trips to the snow, towing my jet ski to the lake, I mean you name it and its done it. Every day it gets full throttle to redline, probably many times. Its never left me stranded and its handled some serious abuse. I would say this is like owning a better looking, more respectable Miata that doesn't break down and can actually go over 100mph.
The 28i is a true surprise in the power department. Fun to drive. Spectacular looks. The trunk capacity is huge when it comes to roadsters and the groceries. Loses a star for the outdated phone/audio setup, which is not a deal breaker when you get used to it. Also, German engineers and their thought processes are baffling. To accomplish anything, after reading the manual, it seems they'd rather take the difficult over the easy route.

solid car
Beautiful, powerful, comfortable ride
Trunk is small when roof is down.
Mine is white with red leather and it is a head turner that cars pull up beside, roll down the window and say “that is beautiful” and it it 10 years old. Runs like a rocket and rides like a much bigger car. Love my z4!!!
Speed and handling
Not good for long trips
If you want sporty this is it
